Exempt Radioisotope Sources

Lead Shield for Shipping and Storage

The shield is used for shipping and storage of 1" diameter disc sources. Durable paint eliminates lead exposure problems. Surface radiation is greatly reduced eliminating the need for multiple boxes when shipping numerous Exempt Quantity sources.

Note: For both Domestic and International Source Orders - Activities over 20 uCi MAY require lead shielding, either LSD1, LSD4 or LSD5. If required, the lead shield and appropriate price will be added to your order.

LSDISK1

For 1-2 gamma sources of >5 uCi, the LSD1 Lead Shield simplifies shipping problems and offers ultra-safe storage of sources. Now painted on both sides for safety.

LSD1 Lead Shield for Single/Double 1" Disk Source Storage

LSDISK4 For one to eight sources, the LSD4 simplifies both shipment and storage of your gamma disk sources. Painted on both sides for safety, an entire set of eight RSS8 sources will fit inside the LSD4 - See Photos below.

LSD4 Lead Shield for 1-8 Multiple 1" Disk Source Storage

LSDISK50

With a wall thickness of 0.5'', this LSD5 lead shield container is suitable for higher activity gamma sources. Holds up to 20 1" discs. Outside Dimensions: h= 3.6 x 2.25", Interior Dimensions: h= 2.65 X 1.25", 0.5" thick, approximately 4.6 lbs weight, painted exterior.
