NRC LIST OF EMBARGOED DESTINATIONS

It is Spectrum Techniques’ policy NOT to export/distribute or drop ship to the countries listed on the NRC’s list of Embargoed Destinations.

The countries listed below are currently on the Embargoed Destinations list.

  • Cuba
  • Iran
  • Iraq
  • Libya (Executive Order)
  • North Korea
  • Sudan
  • Syria

Prior Approval to Import Exempt Quantity Sources

International regulations will vary from country to country. Your local regulations may require you to receive prior authorization in order to import our sources into your country.

Spectrum Techniques will require confirmation radioactive sources can be imported into the customer’s country prior to shipping.

Failure to comply may result in additional storage/shipping charges. These costs will be at the customer’s expense.

Local, national, and international regulations may restrict the purchase, storage, transport, use, and/or disposal of Spectrum Techniques’ radioactive sources. It is the customer’s responsibility to consult with your government’s regulations to ensure compliance.

Disposal of Exempt Quantity Sources

Due to licensing restrictions, Spectrum Techniques cannot accept the return of used or unwanted exempt quantity sources.

If your country requires sources be returned to the manufacturer for end-of-life disposal, Spectrum Techniques has authorized NAC Philotechnics, Ltd to act as an agent for the disposition of sources.

The customer is responsible for contacting, coordinating, and paying for the disposal.

Disposal of exempt quantity sources, internationally, must be done so according to all local laws and regulations.
